The Biggin Hill Air Fair is not just a 5½ hour flying display, the large showground contains many things for all of the family to see and do. We will have over 200 trade and craft stands allowing you to see and buy anything from latest car models, garden furniture, cameras, models, outdoor clothing and much more.

For further information please see the 2010 showground map (PDF) and the dates and times page.

Funfair and Entertainment

Funfair rideWe have many ground attractions for children of all ages, including bouncy castles, inflatable slides, quad bikes, flight simulators and many other activities to keep them (and you) entertained. Our Fairground, which has been attending Biggin Hill since 1963, is full of fun packed rides for children and adults alike.

Classic and military vehicles are always popular and their proud owners always have time to answer the inquisitive. Look out for the vehicle parade which will take place along the crowd line before the flying display on each day.

Food Courts

Catering villageVariety is the key to any food court, you will find anything from the traditional burger to the best quality sandwiches and baguettes, the 40 plus food outlets will cater for all tastes. For those that enjoy a drink, the Shepherd Neame "Spitfire Ale", Grolsch and, new for 2010, the Pimms bus, will all be open and serving refreshments all day. Picnic benches and parasols are provided within the main food courts so that you can enjoy your meal or drink without missing any of the flying display.

As soon as we have had confirmation, we will publish example food prices on this page and in the official programme.

Careers and Static Aircraft

People viewing and sitting in a Red Arrow HawkThe Air Fair is your chance to meet the military and civil services. A large area is set aside for the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Army, Met Police, London Fire Brigade and various youth organisations. This is where you have the chance to sit in aircraft, tanks and flight simulators. You can also experience assault courses and rifle ranges or meet the police dogs. These are just a few examples of what will be on show over the weekend.

Meet The Display Pilots

People meeting display pilots and crewSituated next to the commentary position, 'Meet the Pilots' is the place to go to ask the questions and get the autographs in your programme. So if you want to shake hands with a Red Arrow pilot or need to know how a Typhoon flies, this is the place for you. The crews will generally be available to meet the public around 30 minutes after they have completed their display.
